App DesignCetera is a productivity app designed to be accomodating for individuals with learning disabilities. A variety of productivity apps exist, but very few are explicitly created to be accessible to communities that struggle with completing tasks due to their disability.
My visual decisions were driven by research on learning disorder accomodations.
My visual decisions were driven by research on learning disorder accomodations.
For example, autistic people often struggle with overstimulating sensory experiences such as bright colors or loud noises; therefore, the app has a mellow blue color palette and doesn’t rely on audio to function. Cetera exists to reduce stigma against learning disabilities and demonstrate the importance of conducting research to design for diverse groups of individuals.
