Discover the Domes
Print Design, IllustrationThe Mitchell Park Domes is a horticultural conservatory located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
While interning at the Friends of the Domes organization, which manages the on-site children's education center, I was tasked with developing an engaging and educational horticulture activity for kids aged 12 and up to enjoy during their visits.
We decided to create an educational board game called Discover The Domes, where players aim to collect valuable plants with the goal of planting them in the conservatory. Deliverables included 30 full-color plant cards and 10 full-color resource cards. The plant cards were all based on actual plants you can find each of the three domes.
I was solely responsible for the design and illustration of this project, which involved extensive research and numerous rounds of revision. Despite the challenges of working alone, I feel this project helped me develop skills in print design and scientific illustration.

Golden Age Cinemas Rebrand
Visual IdentityGolden Age Cinemas is a drive-in movie theater located in McHenry, Illinois. The theater was in need of a rebrand, so I aimed to modernize its visual identity by marketing it towards a younger demographic
all while preserving visual motifs of the mid-century aesthetic.

Cetera
App DesignCetera is a productivity app designed to be accomodating for individuals with learning disabilities. A variety of productivity apps exist, but very few are explicitly created to be accessible to communities that struggle with completing tasks due to their disability.
My visual decisions were driven by research on learning disorder accomodations. For example, autistic people often struggle with overstimulation from sensory experiences such as bright colors or loud noises; therefore, the app has a mellow color palette and doesn’t rely on audio to function. Cetera exists to reduce stigma against learning disabilites and demonstrate the importance of conducting research to design for diverse groups of individuals.
